Day 4, Part II: Salzburg...the hills are alive

Didn't have free Internet access today so I'm writing these on Monday night in hopes I'll find some free access tomorrow in Munich.

After Mondsee we headed to Salzburg and had a city tour. Here are some random shots with not much detail! Sorry it's been a long day.

Our tour guide, Heidi...really that was her name...in the Mirabella garden, where some of the do-re-mi scenes from Sound of Music were filmed.

Birthplace of Mozart

Once stables of the archbishop...now concert halls

Cemetery of St Peters...the Coventry cemetery in Sound of Music were based on this one.

Cool art..

Centuries old fortress that we couldn't visit because the train was being replace and there is no road up.

On our way to Munich we had great views of the mountains...
